Buckhorn Children's Center

Located in scenic, rural Buckhorn, Kentucky, Buckhorn Children’s Center (BCC) provides residential treatment programs and psychiatric residential treatment programs, caring for females ages 13-17.

Our Care

Most of our clients are committed to the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and may have been through multiple placements and treatment options prior to arriving at Buckhorn.

The psychiatric residential treatment program also accepts private placements from concerned parents/guardians.

The therapeutic milieu is based on an individual treatment plan, which includes individual and group counseling, peer relations, trust building, life skills development, and, if possible, family sessions.

Length of stay at Buckhorn is coordinated between agency staff and the parent/guardian.

An average length of stay is 6-8 months.
